I think there's a giant cover up to protect the general populace. I'll also go out on a limb and say they're probably right in doing so. That plane is in one piece and it's somewhere we don't want it to be.

If I had to guess, I would suspect it's being set up as a directable flying bomb, deliverable to any destination at the risk of the entire world. Imagine the payload it could carry. The possibilities are staggering.

So today I wake up, turn on the news sites, and find they're all saying what I wrote here yesterday.  

I also wonder if they won't try to make the plane like another by changing the numbers on its side and sending it on a few routes to get it closer to their target.

It's been taken in preparation for the transition....It will be repainted the Error Farce Won and used to haul Obumbler and family around to their vacation spots....

Can anyone say why a Pilot has the ability to turn off a Transponder? The length of runway to land that plane is a clue to where it mayn be.
