C'mon you guys.  You should know this by now.  A progressive operates on emotion.  The only time, oddly enough that some kind of logic is used is to redirect the argument off the false syllogism (you catch that) the progressive started off with in the first place.

You cannot argue logically with a progressive.  They only think in terms of emotion.  Then they try to support their incoherent logic with... logic.

Progressives project.  If they call someone a name, know that in their hearts of hearts, that is a thing they fear about themselves the most.  

Whereas a republic minded individual doesn't really care what the next person does so long as the first person's individual rights to free speech, personal property and self protection aren't infringed upon.  We simply believe the actions done by a government is only ethical and moral when any such action of that government hold an equality of public use by all the public.  Whether rich or poor, indiscriminate of race or belief.

The reason I wrote the above is because I think we lose sight of how simple our jobs as republicans really are. We only have a few basic tenets from which everything else is discerned. But we get caught up in the minor details of one thing or another and we do it all the time. We have let ourselves get caught up in the arguments of progressives because we allow ourselves to believe we can somehow get through to them with, again, using logic. It simply doesn't work because they've learned to think in terms of ideologies; they create their "law" based upon their own judgements and those are derived from what makes them feel the best. We, on the other hand, merely accept nature for what it is. Our laws are not intended to contradict natural law. We do what we can to make our laws reflect the laws of nature with a little human "fairness" thrown in. For example, instead of fighting to the death over women or territories (both would have rendered me dead a long time ago) we judge ourselves in our own courts based solely on proof of unforced acquisition.

What does a progressive do? A progressive manipulates whatever the progressive has to in order to force acquisition against the will of others.
