Illinois Leaders Propose Tax on Departing Residents SPRINGFIELD IL, Nov. 13. At a press conference today Governor-Elect J.B. Pritzker, Speaker of the Illinois House Michael Madigan and President of the Illinois Senate John Cullerton announced their intention to propose emergency legislation to enact a "Departing Taxpayer Fee" on Illinois residents who move their primary residence from the state. The proposed fee is 50% of gross taxable income for the tax year preceding the move or 1% of all property owned within Illinois at the time of the move, whichever is larger, and will apply to all Illinois residents with adjusted taxable income of $100,000 or higher in the year preceding the move. "It's only fair" explained Pritzker, "since these individuals enjoyed state services during the period when overwhelming deficits and pension obligations were incurred without proper taxation." Madigan added "The State requires revenue enhancement, and individuals will not be permitted to avoid paying their fair share by changing their state of residence." The new tax, which would be the first of its kind in the nation, comes at a time when Illinois faces steep financial troubles that have caused it to have the worst credit rating of any state in the union.

The Madigan/Daley/Mafia promised the pensions (40 YRS AGO) in return for knocking on doors and VOTES for the quiet LIBERALS to stay in OUR offices, albeit any actuary knew it was not only UNSUSTAINABLE pension promises but the most obvious con-job ever.

ITS THE PRICE FOR PRETENDING WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING DOWN,....AND NOT BEING ENGAGED POLITICALLY.
